Purcellville, Virginia, is an up and coming part of western Loudoun County, with plenty of great restaurants you can’t miss. Here are a few of my favorites in town.
Magnolia’s at the Mill
Magnolia’s is one of the go-to hangouts for Purcellville locals. They provide a fine dining experience with a relaxed ambiance for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. You can’t go wrong with any meal at Magnolia’s, but some menu highlights include the Hollander Mussels (my personal favorite is the white wine variety) and the filet mignon with bearnaise sauce. Their offer of selections is quite wide, so there’s a dish to suit every palette.

West End Wine Bar & Pub
This rustic, elegant establishment has been operating as various businesses for over 100 years, and still retains its old charm. At West End you can enjoy brunch or dinner, along with local winesand craft beers. You might find it hard to choose from the delectable options on their farm to table menu, so if you’re looking for a tip, try the smoked salmon dip or the eggplant portobello Napoleon.

Petite Loulou Crêperie
I firmly believe that French breakfasts are one of the best ways to practice belly-focused self care, and Petite Loulou Crêperie is the best cafe in Purcellville to treat yourself. It features a range of sweet and savory crepes, with decadent flavors like lemon curd and cordon bleu. There are also an assortment of fresh quiches and sandwiches to sate your breakfast cravings. The classic quiche Lorraine and quiche Florentine are always available, but there is also a seasonal quiche to snack on. Don’t forget to cruise by the pastry display for the perfect croissant to-go on your way out.

Finn Thai
If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in the heart of Purcellville, go no further than Finn Thai. Every dish comes with your choice of meat or seafood, so the flavor possibilities are endless. Besides Thai classics like Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles, you can choose several types of curry, stir fry, and a wide variety of sushi rolls. My personal favorite is the firecracker chicken and the lobster fried rice.

Smokin’ Willy
Barbecue is the name of the game at Smokin’ Willy. Bring your loosest pants and get ready to chow down at this eatery, because they’ve got enough meat to make you feel like a Viking god or goddess. To properly put yourself into a food coma, try the chili mac or the North Carolina-style pulled pork platter. On the (slightly) lighter side, there are a plethora of appetizers and salads to choose from. Some notable mentions from this category are the shrimp and avocado salad, and the southwest chicken dip.

Gruto’s
Looking for a sweet treat? Check out Gruto’s – specializing in soft serve ice cream, floats, malts, sundaes, and milkshakes. Choose from chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, or banana flavored ice cream, and over 20 toppings. They have some unique milkshakes options as well, like mango, Oreo, or black raspberry. If you’re not sure what to get, try one of their specialty dishes, like the banana split or the s’mores sundae.
